“Happy 2018! Welcome to another year of AG Bell’s “Chapter Spotlight” – a section of our eNews that focuses on the tremendous work our 35 AG Bell chapters do in their local communities to support and connect professionals, adults with hearing loss and families of children who are deaf and hard of hearing.
2017 was our pilot year for the Healthy Chapter Program Initiative and Action Plan (HCAP). The Chapter of the Year award is presented to the top performing Chapter(s) as measured by HCAP scores in areas such as programming, governance and membership. In 2017, AG Bell Colorado, led by Chapter President, Tara Bauman, was named Chapter of the Year. Colorado also received the Innovate award for their outstanding achievements in the Healthy Chapter Program.
In addition, AG Bell New Jersey, led by Sue Schmidberger, and AG Bell Virginia, led by Lori Bobsin received top honors with the Integrate award based on HCAP scores with an emphasis on delivering quality educational programs and leading advocacy efforts.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of our 2017 chapter honorees! “
